Courtney Kirkland, a veteran NBA referee and Flint native (son of legendary Flint Northwestern coach Grover Kirkland), went to great lengths to prevent Kris Humphries of the Brooklyn Nets from getting this free throw off while subs were waiting to check in in Wednesday’s game between the Nets and Toronto Raptors.
Can’t say that I’ve ever seen that before. The reaction of the players, and Humphries in particular, is pretty funny.
